Biography

Dr. Calvert graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Texas and received a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas. He completed both his internship and residency at Baylor Medical Center. As a Distinguished Honor Graduate at the United States Army School of Aviation Medicine in Fort Rucker, Alabama. Dr. Calvert served 10 years in the Army, receiving both an Army Commendation Medal and Army Achievement Medal. Prior to joining the Healthcare Associates of Texas, Dr. Calvert owned and ran an urgent care center in Coppell. Dr. Calvert believes in treating his patients 'the way I would treat my grandmother,' with the ultimate goal of helping people to take care of themselves so they don't need doctor's care. He has specific interest and experience in the treatment of diabetes, as well as providing women's health services. Always one to stay active, Dr. Calvert enjoys fishing, golfing and hiking with his dog, Brisbee. He also enjoys attending local sporting events. Dr. Calvert's son is a senior at the University of Texas. Dr. Calvert offers BioTe Hormone Replacement Therapy to patients in our Coppell clinic.
