Umer Ansari, MD, graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, earning his medical degree in 2017. From there, he went on to Washington, D.C., to complete an internship at Medstar Washington Hospital Center in 2018 before going to the University of Maryland in Baltimore, where he completed his Dermatology residency in 2021. After relocating to Houston, Dr. Ansari joined Kelsey-Seybold in March 2026 as a board-certified dermatologist who speaks English, Hindi, and Urdu with his patients.
As a physician, Dr. Ansari devotes himself to helping those in need, following in the footsteps of his many family members who modeled service to others. He treats disorders of the hair, skin, and nails--spanning conditions from acne, pigmentary disorders, and hair loss to skin cancer. Aside from conducting preventive screenings, he has a particular interest in treating patients for complex medical dermatological conditions, follicular disorders, skin cancer, psoriasis, and cutaneous manifestations of internal disease. Dr. Ansari's favorite part of practicing medicine is seeing how treatment can help his patients' conditions and lives improve over time.
