Gina Nguyen, PA

Gina Nguyen, MSPAS, PA-C, earned her Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, in 2018. She then headed to Birmingham to complete her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Alabama in 2024. Gina joined Kelsey-Seybold as a certified physician assistant in General Surgery in April 2025.
Growing up with immigrant parents, Gina witnessed firsthand the challenges of healthcare disparities within the Latinx community and did all she could to break down barriers to care for her family, an experience that ignited her passion for healthcare and advocating for her community. As a General Surgery physician assistant, she sees patients for preoperative evaluation and education, postoperative follow-up, wound care, surgical consultations, and minor procedures. She also provides treatment for postoperative infections, wound infections, abscesses, soft tissue masses and cysts, and more. In her work with patients, Gina loves the hands-on and collaborative aspects of surgery, but she most enjoys having the ability to make a meaningful impact in their lives.
