zero follow up. Failed to completely read my scan and didn’t see that I had a Bakers Cyst on my knee. Yes I did not have a blood clot but the cyst is what was causing the pain for my Doctors visit. I am following up with my Orthopedic specialist

Dr. Fernandez replaced my previous doctor of over 15 yrs. However, she was not my actual replacement doctor, as my replacement doctor did not show up at the last minute. So I was gratefully and lucky to have been scheduled with Dr. Fernandez. Dr. Fernandez is exactly the type and kind of doctor someone would hope for. I am very happy to have been able to get Dr. Fernandez as my new primary!

I did not receive any compassion or the least bit concern with Dr. Fernandez. Instead of walking me through with explaining why this bulging vein is on my forearm I got simply a question how do I want to proceed and I’ve never had a doctor question me but rather show concern and tell me what treatment plan can be done.

Dr. Fernandez has been my PCP for over 20 years. She is a consummate professional, wonderful personality, pays attention to details, shows interest in my every concern. She always makes me feel comfortable and she listens to how I feel about treatments and medications, then advises me about realistic options for me. She is an excellent doctor. I would highly recommend her. She even refused a referral to a doctor, whose status with Welmed was “pending”, to protect me from out-of-pocket expenses, in case his status was not solidified. That was awesome, even though it was frustrating at that moment. She was only protecting me!

For the most part she has given me great care. On my last visit we discussed an ongoing problem that deals with pain. The problem is muscular not joint related. I am not a typical [omitted] yr old, I workout 4 times a week. My muscles are not weak or atrophied. If I sit for any amount of time standing causes almost a cramping feeling to my inner and upper right thigh. This has been going on for about 2 yrs and the doctor on last visit says to me that I may just to learn deal with it. What I expect to hear is let’s find out what is really going on not you may have to learn to deal with it,

I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with Dr. Fernandez for more than 20 years. In all that time, I have NEVER been disappointed in the care and concern that she has shown with my every need, and referral to the best doctors in our plan to take care of any number of my many medical needs.
