Biography

Marissa Gray, OD, earned her Doctor of Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry in Houston, Texas, in 2024. After completing externships in Dallas and Santa Fe, New Mexico, Marissa completed a year of residency in ocular disease and refractive surgery at Eye Center of Texas in Houston in 2025. She joined Kelsey-Seybold’s Optometry department in August 2025.
Moved to pursue a career in eye care by her own optometrist, who helped her with an excessive tear problem, Marissa enjoys continuously learning about eyes. She sees patients for routine and diabetic eye exams, diagnoses and treats acute eye conditions, and helps patients manage chronic eye conditions. These can include glaucoma, dry eye, watery eye, ulcers, iritis, and more. Marissa’s favorite part of being an optometrist is having the honor of making her patients’ lives easier and helping them when their eyes are in need.
