Biography

Ramya Bhattaru, DO, ABFM, attended the William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, earning her medical degree in 2022. She then completed her internship and Family Medicine residency at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo in 2025. Dr. Bhattaru joined Kelsey-Seybold in October 2025 as a board-certified Family Medicine physician.
Dr. Bhattaru follows in the footsteps of her grandfather, a Family Medicine physician whose deep medical knowledge, remarkable compassion, and unwavering dedication to underserved communities served as an inspiration to her through medical school and residency. She sees patients of all ages from infants to older adults, providing well care and treatment for acute conditions such as upper respiratory infections and injuries and performing in-office procedures such as suturing, toenail removals, joint injections, and more. She also provides care for chronic conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and arthritis. In her work with patients, Dr. Bhattaru establishing life-long relationships with her patients and providing them with individualized care for their unique problems.
