Biography

Mohammed Hameed, MD, FACP, earned his medical degree in 1984 at Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India. After practicing overseas for nearly a decade, Dr. Hameed relocated to complete his Internal Medicine residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, in 1996. After gaining substantial experience in primary care and emergency medicine, he served in leadership positions at Ralph H. Johnson Veterans Affairs Medical Center in South Carolina and the Central Texas Veterans Affairs Health Care System. Dr. Hameed joined Kelsey-Seybold in October 2025 as a double board-certified internist who speaks English, Hindi, Urdu, Telugu, and Urdu with his patients.
Dr. Hameed sees adult patients for comprehensive preventive care and health screenings, acute health concerns, and management of chronic health conditions. These include heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, respiratory issues, gastrointestinal disorders, endocrine and metabolic problems, kidney issues, arthritic conditions, neurologic and behavioral health conditions, and more. He also expertly coordinates care with specialists as needed and works to empower patients to actively participate in their care. Dr. Hameed’s favorite aspect of practicing medicine is seeing patients respond positively to the care he provides.
