Kenneth R. Kemp, Jr., MD, attended the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine at Galveston. After completing his medical degree in 1993, he went to Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he completed his Physical Medicine residency in 1997. He also completed an Interventional Spine fellowship at East Texas Medical Center, now part of UT Health East Texas, in 2003. After spending nearly three decades in patient care and academic settings, Dr. Kemp joined Kelsey-Seybold in October 2025. He is double board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and in Pain Management.
At the age of 17, Dr. Kemp suffered an injury that required a long course of physical therapy—an experience that sparked his interest in helping people regain their functional abilities. He primarily provides patient-centered, interventional management of back and neck pain caused by spinal disorders and injuries. Dr. Kemp’s favorite part of practicing medicine is seeing his patients improve and thrive despite their medical issues.
