Asra Rana, MD

Asra Rana, MD, is a board-certified hospitalist who attended Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, earning her medical degree in 2011. She then relocated to Buffalo, New York, where she completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Buffalo in 2014. Fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu, Dr. Rana joined Kelsey-Seybold as an experienced hospitalist in October 2025.
Dr. Rana became a physician in honor of her father, who suffered from coronary artery disease and passed away when she was 12. As a hospitalist, she provides inpatient primary care for those admitted to the hospital for a variety of acute conditions and complications from chronic disease. Her clinical interests include obesity, heart failure, management of anticoagulation, and autoimmune diseases. Dr. Rana enjoys when she is able to see vast improvements in her patients when they are treated efficiently with the right approach.
