Alejandro Aquino, MD

Alejandro Aquino, MD, is an internal medicine specialist who focuses on taking time to understand each patient. He wants to ensure that patients have all the necessary information, so they can play an active role in their own care.

Dr. Aquino has always wanted to be a doctor so he could help people in need. He pursued internal medicine because a primary care role gives him the opportunity to make a positive difference in people’s lives. He enjoys meeting patients, getting to know them as individuals and treating them with the care and dedication he’d give to his own family.

Dr. Aquino attended medical school at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine. He completed an internship at UTRGV-DHR, followed by a residency in internal medicine at UTRGV-Knapp. When he is not seeing patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their three dogs.
