Paola Perez Rodriguez, MD, treats patients like members of her own family — with empathy, compassion and respect. By fostering trust and collaboration, Dr. Perez Rodriguez can empower her patients to take an active role in their health. Family medicine is her specialty.

Dr. Perez Rodriguez was born and raised in Puerto Rico, in a community that lacked access to basic health care and health education. Witnessing the problems that arose from this large health care gap inspired her to learn more about medicine and become a doctor. She earned her medical degree at Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mexico and completed her residency at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital.

Connecting with patients and building long-term relationships with them are Dr. Perez Rodriguez’s favorite aspects of practicing medicine. She also finds it deeply rewarding to see her patients adopt healthier lifestyles and learn how small changes can prevent chronic conditions. Dr. Perez Rodriguez currently lives in Ellenton, Florida, where she enjoys walking along the beach, playing sports and spending quality time with her family and pets.
