Shakib Islam, MD

Shakib Wasiful Islam, MD, is a radiologist who attended Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio, earning his medical degree in 2019. After completing a transitional-year internship at Summa Health in 2020, he went to the University of Cincinnati to complete his Diagnostic Radiology residency in 2024, serving as chief resident his final year. Dr. Islam remained at the University of Cincinnati to complete a fellowship in body imaging in 2025. He joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in August 2025.
Dr. Islam follows in the footsteps of his father, a physician who was a big source of inspiration for him throughout childhood. As a radiologist, Dr. Islam works as an integral part of his patients’ care teams to provide diagnostic imaging for a variety of conditions. With clinical interests that center on abdominal and pelvic imaging, Dr. Islam enjoys finding the source or explanation for problems so that the patient can get the appropriate follow-up or treatment needed.
