Arthur Chernostrik, DO, is a board-certified Family Medicine physician who attended William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, graduating with his medical degree in 2022. He then completed the Baton Rouge General Family Medicine Residency Program in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 2025. Bilingual in English and Russian, Dr. Chernostrik joined Kelsey-Seybold in August 2025.
Dr. Chernostrik was inspired to become the first physician in his family by his parents and grandparents who always encouraged him to pursue his dreams. As a Family Medicine physician, he provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including annual physicals, immunizations, and screenings for cancers, blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes — along with weight management and lifestyle counseling. Dr. Chernostrik also treats patients for conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, asthma, COPD, allergies, pneumonia, GERD, musculoskeletal pain, anxiety and depression, and a variety of infections like flu and strep throat. He can also perform in-office procedures such as skin lesion removals, joint injections, Pap smears, suturing of minor lacerations, and more. With all the variety the field of medicine offers, Dr. Chernostrik loves that his role as a physician continually evolves and gives him the opportunity to learn new ways to care for his patients.
