Cody Blackstone, DO

Cody Blackstone, DO, emphasizes preventive health, which he believes is essential to avoiding illness and disease. As an internal medicine physician, Dr. Blackstone has a deep understanding of all bodily systems, which allows him to treat the whole person.

Dr. Blackstone was born in Oklahoma City and moved to Gatesville, Texas, during high school. Growing up, he saw many people in his community affected by health disparities, including poor health literacy, which inspired him to become an internal medicine doctor. He earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at University of Incarnate Word-Texas Institute for Graduate Medical Education and Research, San Antonio.

Dr. Blackstone enjoys sitting down with his patients, talking to them about their health and watching them improve their well-being. Preventive health, diabetes, musculoskeletal complaints, and sports medicine are some of his top clinical interests. Dr. Blackstone currently lives in Schertz, Texas. In his spare time, he enjoys going to the gym, cooking with his wife, building gaming PCs, watching TV shows and spending time with his pets.
