The rating reflects a noticeable difference in the level of care and communication we experienced compared to our previous provider. Our prior doctor consistently took the time to carefully address questions and concerns with my aunt, who is disabled, and ensured she understood what was being discussed during her visits. With Eva Flores Martinez, FNP, there is a need to improve how she engages and communicates with patients who may not fully understand medical terminology. During visits, complex terms were often used without being explained in a way my aunt could understand. Instead of working to simplify and communicate directly with her, the approach shifted to speaking primarily with the guardian in the room, which is not what we are looking for. It was made clear that we prefer all questions and discussions to be directed to my aunt first, with explanations provided in simpler terms so she can actively participate and respond on her own. While there was some effort to adjust after this was communicated, it has not been at the same level of care, patience, and compassion that we experienced with our previous doctor at the WellMed Lee Trevino location. Improving communication style and patient engagement, especially with disabled patients, would make a significant difference in the overall experience.

Very professional medical wise, cordial, takes time to give feedback to questions. I liked that she was concern about my issue and did follow ups to check up on me.

I went gor a referral after almost 3 months of asking for one and supplied all info the referral I have doesn't have the name of the Dr.or another information. The appt.was canceled several times. The info for the referral needed was given to about 4 people that called asking. I will take this referral to my app. IF they accept that's good if they dont I have no idea what to do next. It's the first time I see this practitioner. I usually see Ms. Rubio. No complain there.
