Corey Fuentes, MD

Corey Fuentes, MD, listens intently to his patients, as he believes this behavior can lead him to the most accurate diagnosis. Family medicine is his specialty, which he enjoys because it allows him to collaborate with specialists and work with patients of all ages.

Dr. Fuentes was born and raised in Mission, Texas. His interest in medical science and human anatomy, along with his desire to care for others, inspired him to pursue a career in medicine. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine. He completed his family medicine residency at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley - McAllen Medical Center. Chronic care management and obesity medicine are his top clinical interests.

Catching a diagnosis early on, starting treatment at the right time, and changing the course of a patient’s health are Dr. Fuentes’s favorite aspects of serving his community as a medical doctor. He currently lives in Mission, Texas, where he enjoys spending quality time with his family. Exploring new restaurants and watching well-written action and drama television series are his other favorite hobbies and pastimes.
