Referrals for the Estela Morillo were given suggested during visits. One for PT, it took three weeks for the referral to be assigned to an agency. The second referral is for psychiatric evaluation and we are going on week four and still have not heard from anyone. I even call the insurance to get an in network provider. I called the Wellmed and provided the information so the referral could be sent to the Psychiatrist i found that takes my mom’s insurance. When i called I was greeted with an attitude and told the provider will get to the referral when she is available. I was told the referrals are sent to a third party company. I feel like if the third party company can’t do their job, or take more than four weeks to find an in network provider, you guys need to reevaluate them. Not sure why the doctor can’t send the referral to the in network provider I found. I called the office and provider the name, phone number and fax number for the doctor to send the referral to the psych doctor on [omitted]. Today is [omitted] and still waiting. My mom’s appointment with this PA was on [omitted]. I have never encountered such a long wait for a referral to be assigned to someone.
