Biography

Welby Wu, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist at Kelsey-Seybold. He attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, earning his medical degree in 1998. From there, Dr. Wu went on to the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, where he completed an Internal Medicine internship and Anesthesiology residency in 1999 and 2002, respectively. He joined Kelsey-Seybold in January 2025.
Dr. Wu comes from a family of physicians, including two grandparents, an uncle, his father, and his brother. As an anesthesiologist, he focuses on providing personalized, patient-centric care. Dr. Wu’s clinical interests include regional anesthesia, such as spinal, epidural, and peripheral nerve blocks. In his daily practice, he most enjoys knowing that he has the opportunity to help patients and their families through stressful times.
