Biography

Jessica Aguais, NP, has a care philosophy that centers on fostering trust, demonstrating compassion and empowering patients to achieve optimal health. Diabetes, heart disease, obesity and preventive care are some of her many clinical passions and interests.

NP Aguais was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She became a nurse practitioner to serve her community and to advocate for vulnerable populations and patients in need. She earned her Doctor of nursing practice at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, which is where she currently lives. Family practice, her specialty, allows her to address the holistic needs of patients of all ages.

Educating her patients and building lasting relationships to support their physical and emotional well-being are NP Aguais’ favorite aspects of serving as a nurse practitioner. She is also highly passionate about preventive care and has an extensive background working in float pool, case management, neurological and telemetry settings. In her spare time, NP Aguais enjoys hiking, reading, gardening and spending quality time with family.

    Jessica was extremely compassionate. She listen, while I explain my health issues.I felt comfortable, not being rushed. There are times that when we have our appointments with doctors. It feels like they walk into the room ask 2 or 4 questions. An then they leave. I feel that I was not done asking more questions. Evey need that I address to Jessica was answered. I wish there would be more people like Jessica.
