Luis Bernal, NP

Luis Bernal, NP, known as Danny by patients and colleagues, believes the key to keeping patients healthy is earning their trust. Allergies, COPD, diabetes and thyroid disease are his top clinical interests.

Danny was born in Alice, Texas, but considers Del Rio, Texas, home despite being raised a military brat and serving in the U.S. Air Force as a medical technician. His time caring for deployed warfighters inspired him to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner after leaving the military. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University and holds board certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Meeting new people on a regular basis is Danny’s favorite aspect of serving as a nurse practitioner. He lives in Corpus Christi, Texas, with his wife, with whom he shares three children and many grandchildren. Traveling and spending quality time with his family are Danny’s favorite activities outside of caring for patients.
