Biography

Shangir Siddique, MD, MPH, obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine in Galveston in 2021. From there, he went on to the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School, completing its internship and residency program in 2024. Dr. Siddique joined Kelsey-Seybold’s Hospitalist Medicine department in August 2024.
Dr. Siddique was led to become a physician by his family’s and his own experiences as a patient. As a hospitalist, he sees patients in the hospital setting for a variety of acute medical care needs, such as acute severe symptom management, conditions that require stabilization and evaluation by a specialist, and care coordination for surgical procedures during a hospitalization. In addition to hospital medicine, Dr. Siddique’s clinical interests include preventative health, HIV management, and mental health initiatives. He enjoys understanding the science and practicing the art of medicine, appreciating the field as a privilege that provides him with the honor of helping others heal.
