Biography

Yadira Martinez-Parra, NP, believes compassion and empathy are paramount to exceptional patient care. Family medicine is her specialty, and it allows her to provide continuous, comprehensive care across all ages, genders, diseases and bodily systems.

Martinez-Parra was born and raised in Cuba alongside relatives who also worked in the medical field. Family influence, as well as her long-held interests in health and etiology, inspired her to pursue a career in health care. Initially, she worked as a doctor in Cuba. Later, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing at South University in the United States. She is as an APRN with a specialty in family medicine.

Caring for patients and teaching them how to improve their health are Martinez-Parra’s favorite aspects of serving her community. Depression, dementia and behavioral health are her top clinical interests and passions. Martinez-Parra currently resides in Naples, Florida, and enjoys relaxing on the beach and spending time with her children in her free time.
