Jacquelyn Dang, MD, FAAD, earned her medical degree in 2020 at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois, where she also completed an Internal Medicine internship. She then completed her University of Iowa Health Care Dermatology residency in 2024 and joined Kelsey-Seybold’s Dermatology department in July 2024.
Inspired to become a dermatologist by her mother, a Vietnamese refugee who entered the nail salon industry, resulting in toxin exposure that damaged the skin on her hands and her self-esteem. As a dermatologist, Dr. Dang strives to enhance her patients’ skin and self-confidence, treating them for a variety of skin conditions that include acne, eczema, psoriasis, alopecia, skin cancers, benign lesions, and sun damage. She also specializes in the detection and treatment of precancerous lesions and skin cancers, including melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and basal cell carcinoma. Dr. Dang is extensively trained in the use of complex dermatologic therapies, including biologic therapy, immunosuppressive medications, and phototherapy.
