Walter Alomar, MD, FAAPMR, completed a combined graduate program at the University of Puerto Rico, earning his medical and law degrees in 2014. He completed a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at New York University in 2018, followed by a Sports Medicine fellowship at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, in 2019. He was medical student director and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan for 4 years (from 2019 to 2023). Dr. Alomar joined Kelsey-Seybold in January 2024.
Dr. Alomar specializes in non-surgical treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions such as knee, hip, shoulder, elbow and other joint pain, fractures, osteoarthritis, tendon disorders, and sports injuries. His clinical scope of practice includes ultrasound-guided and interventional spine procedures. Dr. Alomar’s favorite part of practicing medicine is seeing his patients recover to their prior level of function, activity, and quality of life.
