Patricia Lenihan, MD

Dr. Patricia Lenihan is a board-certified Obstetrics and Gynecology physician at Kelsey-Seybold. She graduated summa cum laude in 2012 from Trinity University in San Antonio with her Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and molecular biology, minoring in Spanish. In 2016, she went on to complete her medical degree at McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), where she also completed her residency in obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive sciences in 2020. She was inspired to become a physician while studying abroad in Santiago, Chile during a healthcare immersion program. After residency training and prior to joining Kelsey-Seybold, she worked for several years in private practice at UT Physicians Memorial City.
Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Lenihan provides care to women from their adolescent years to beyond menopause. She provides common gynecological care for issues such as menopause, urinary conditions, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), pelvic pain, and more. In addition, in Obstetrics she specializes in pre-pregnancy counseling, prenatal care, delivery, and post-partum care. She is certified in fundamentals of laparoscopic surgery, trained and certified in da Vinci Robotic surgeries, and trained in vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (vNOTES) as well as Sonata (transcervical fibroid ablation). Her clinical interests include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, preventive medicine, fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, contraception, cervical dysplasia, endometriosis, and LGBTQ+ healthcare.
