Biography

Benito Marrufo, MD, is a board-certified internist who attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, earning his medical degree in 1996. He remained at Baylor College of Medicine to complete his Internal Medicine residency and fellowship in 1999. Dr. Marrufo then joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in 1999, relocating briefly to San Antonio in 2005 and then returning to Kelsey-Seybold in 2006.
As someone who had wanted to be a physician since childhood, Dr. Marrufo truly enjoys caring for his patients and provides primary care to adults. In addition to offering preventive care such as immunizations and well checks, he specializes in treating and managing conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, and more. For Dr. Marrufo, being able to help improve quality of life for his patients by effectively treating their medical problems is the most rewarding part of his day.
