Biography

Faustina Martinez, OD, completed her Bachelor of Science in chemistry in 2015 at Houston Baptist University. In 2020, she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she also completed a residency in ocular disease in 2021. She completed two externships, the first at HOPE Clinic in Houston in 2019 and the second at the University of Houston Eye Center in the Heights in 2020. She is board certified by the Texas Optometry Board.
She specializes in ocular pathology and can diagnose and treat varying diseases spanning from the anterior to posterior segment of the eye, such as red eyes, dry eyes, injuries, and inflammatory conditions, to name a few. Dr. Martinez can provide care for posterior segment conditions and diseases of the optic nerve such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. She also corrects refractive errors of the visual system ranging from near to farsightedness and presbyopia. Her clinical interests include treatment of ocular disease.
