About

Edwin Davila, DO, strives to improve the quality of life for his patients and works closely with them to find the root causes of their conditions. Internal medicine is his specialty, which has given him a well-rounded and vast knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.

Dr. Davila was born in Panama City on a U.S. Army base and raised in a farming community in Hargill, Texas. He was inspired to pursue a career in medicine after witnessing the debilitating impact of obesity on his fellow community members. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at the Texas Institute for Graduate Medical Education and Research-Internal Medicine San Antonio.

Preventive care, obesity, sports medicine, diabetes, heart disease and musculoskeletal conditions are Dr. Davila’s top clinical interests. He improves the quality of life of his patients—his favorite aspect of serving as an osteopathic physician— by applying evidence-based principles of lifestyle medicine, exercise science and nutritional biochemistry. He currently lives in San Antonio, Texas, where he enjoys lifting weights and reading medical journals in his free time.
