James Bluhm, DPM

James Michael Bluhm, DPM, is a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. His favorite part of medicine is the hands-on quest to solve a patient's acute needs and help prevent future medical concerns. His patient care philosophy is to listen to his patients first and treat second.

Dr. Bluhm completed his degree at Des Moines University – College of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery and residencies in Pennsylvania and Arizona. He pursued a career in podiatric medicine because he was intrigued by the mechanics of the human body and being a part of the health team to heal the ailments of patients. He enjoys the variety of ailments presented by his patients including wound care, primary medicine, injury, sports and biomechanics, and surgery of the lower extremity.

Dr. Bluhm is a Texas native. He is married and has a son and daughter. In his free time, he enjoys family time, traveling, outdoors and camping and volunteering. Dr. Bluhm is a trained vocalist and musician. He earned the Master Scuba Diver and Taekwondo first degree black belt certificates. Dr. Bluhm is particularly interested in all areas of podiatric medicine including arthritis, diabetes, musculoskeletal conditions, injury and sports medicine. He enjoys both medicine and surgery of the foot.
