Anna Vaz, NP

Anna Maria Vaz, ACNPC-AG, completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2013. She then went to Albuquerque, attending the University of New Mexico College of Nursing to complete her Master of Science in Nursing in 2016. With experience in the ICU setting and in post-anesthesia and cardiology care, Anna Maria joined Kelsey-Seybold as a Cardiology nurse practitioner in March 2025.
Having spent her teen years volunteering at homes for the aging and organizations caring for the needy, Anna Maria felt called to pursue a career in nursing to care for others. She sees patients needing evaluation and treatment for a wide range of Cardiology conditions, manages patient medications, provides routine checkups and follow-up care, and manages chronic cardiovascular conditions and symptoms, such as hypertension, heart failure, and chest pain. Anna Maria prioritizes improving patient outcomes through education and lifestyle modification. Her favorite aspect of the healthcare field is being part of a healing journey with her patients and their families.
