Biography

Carlos Caro, MD, takes a friendly and realistic approach to patient care. He chose to pursue family medicine to help patients from diverse backgrounds with a variety of health conditions.

Dr. Caro studied to become a physician at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara and later completed his medical residency at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. After serving as a combat medic in the US Army, he felt passionate about continuing to serve his community, leading him to a career in family medicine. His favorite part of his job is seeing his patients light up as they improve their health.

Dr. Caro was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and currently resides in McAllen, Texas. He is also a licensed pilot who enjoys learning about aviation and building models in his free time. Dr. Caro also enjoys practicing archery and painting.
