I felt like she did not do an adequate assessment. Listening to my chest and that was all. I came in with a bad sore throat and she never even looked at my throat or checked my lymph nodes that were swollen. I will choose not to ever see her again.

She seemed uninterested. Was getting lab results on urine specimen on computer which gave a 1000 count which appropriately was upsetting. She said the nurses aid would bring instructions. Left the room and never mentioned a referral to urologist which I had requested along with A1C. I received A1C by portal of 7.3. But no referral. However, my pharmacy notified me of RX for antibiotics ready to pick up. I was not told why, but contacted the office for return call. Ms Atwood contacted me on virtual call. I asked why the antibiotics were ordered. Seems the culture to identify infection in urine took 3 days to develop. But I was not told of infection. Nor was a referral to urologist mentioned. I asked if referral had been completed and the answer was no, but she would get it done.

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with Dr. Atwood. Dr. Julie Olivo is my PCP, but was out of the clinic. Dr. Atwood had an appointment with me and next recommendation was an MRA to see if there was anything that would be causing the pressure I am having in my head. Had I not had access to my scans via Envision, I would not have known that the scans show I have an Aneurysm. Dr. Atwood messaged me on the portal saying my scans were normal. After I challenged her and responded verbatim with what the results were showing on Envision, she called apologizing saying she thought she read it as normal but there were actually 2 scans done, one of my neck and one of my head. The neck was in fact normal, but the head scan was not. She said she signed them both off as normal. Again, she did apologize, but cannot help to think where this may have gone had I not challenged here diagnosis. As Doctors, it's crucial that results are read thoroughly prior to giving them to the patient. In my case, this was very shocking and disappointing.

Had to wait almost 30 minutes to be called back to see her. Then it was about 20 more minutes before she came into the room. I thought that was too long to wait when the appointment was made over a month in advance.. I realize they have times where a patient takes more time than another one. This was unusual .

Lauren Atwood was very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. However, getting to her through all of the hoops due to Covid made it very frustrating. Because I had a fever, the representative said I could not go into the building. Since I do not have a "smart phone" for a virtual appointment (I felt punished for having a computer and not a smart phone) she recommended I go to Urgent Care. She was nice and supportive when I let her know that it was not acceptable that I could not see MY doctor when I needed him. I also knew it was bronchitis due to my allergies. She decided she could set up a curb-side appointment [omitted] (I called early that morning) and someone would bring me a tablet or phone to use for the virtual appointment. She told me to call the main number when I arrived and someone would come down with the device. When I called about [omitted], I got the answering service. She was very nice and tried to help by calling and texting the office. There was no response. I then decided to go into the building since it should be mostly empty to let them know I was downstairs. They went ahead and put me in a room & did a Covid test. It was negative. This was extremely frustrating when I was already feeling bad and had waited all day for the appointment. However, Lauren was worth the hassle and frustration. Her kindness and friendliness was calming and I was glad I didn't just give up. I was diagnosed with bronchitis and received the necessary medications and instructions to help me feel better. Thank you for hiring Lauren.
