Biography

Hilda Luna, NP, is a nurse practitioner who completed training at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and is board-certified by the AANP. Her patient care philosophy is to treat every patient like a family member or friend.

NP Luna pursued a career as a nurse practitioner because she wanted to have her own patients and make collaborative decisions with them about their health. She chose family medicine because she believes it is the heart and soul of the medical field. She enjoys that family medicine encompasses pieces of all the specialties, and it is the doorway by which many patients get more specialized care. Her favorite part of her work is making a difference in the lives of others.

NP Luna was born and raised in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She is married with four children. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, spending time with her family and cats, traveling, watching movies and going to the beach. Clinically, she is particularly interested in diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, musculoskeletal conditions, thyroid conditions and obesity. She is also interested in preventive medicine and geriatric care.
