Melissa Canter, PA

Melissa has focused on Family Medicine throughout her career. She realizes that spending more time educating patients in the beginning of their relationship enhances the likelihood of long-term health and better clinical outcomes. Being part of the Healthcare Associates of Texas family provides Melissa with access to ancillary services and cutting-edge technologies helping her develop and deliver the best patient treatment plans. Melissa graduated from Baylor University Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and went on to receive a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Outside of work, Melissa loves running, traveling, scuba-diving, and spending time with her husband, twin boys and daughter.
