Suman Donepudi, MD

From a very young age, I knew I wanted to work in medicine. I was fortunate to be able to observe my father as a physician and I saw the impact he made through his care. I too wanted to make a difference in people's lives by giving a part of myself to the community in a sincere manner. By selecting family medicine, I felt I would afford myself the unique experience of being able to treat a wide range of conditions all while seeing a spectrum of ages'from infants to elderly. This really appealed to me. Through my energy, passion, and humility, I look forward to sharing my knowledge with patients.
I love meeting patients from different backgrounds and creating a special, trustworthy patient-doctor relationship with each of them. I strive to create an energetic, comfortable, and caring environment that focuses on helping to efficiently take care of my patients' concerns in a quality manner.
I was born in India but moved to Louisiana at the age of 1 and grew up in the small town of Thibodaux. I attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge for undergrad and thereafter attended medical school. After medical school, I spent time at the University of Florida in Gainesville doing research. I completed my residency at the UAB-Huntsville Family Medicine Residency Program in Huntsville, Alabama. I currently reside in Frisco and enjoy my free time hanging out with friends & family, traveling, staying active with sports/running, shopping, and cooking.
