Biography

My calling as a physician came to me while as a volunteer at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. I found the environment of helping others personally rewarding and humbling. I liked that it allowed me to be a part of a greater cause. With the support of my mother, who is a postpartum nurse at Parkland, I knew I wanted to work as a physician to care for people and make a difference in their health and wellness.
My passion for delivering quality care and forming long-term relationships are essential components of my practice. In fact, the latter is the main reason I decided to transition from working as a hospitalist to working in the clinic setting. I enjoy working with patients to help them manage and improve their health. I also want to be a reliable provider and partner to them over the course of their life. My goal is to arm patients with the tools and resources they need to achieve and maintain their best health so they can continue doing the things they love.
I grew up in Coppell, Texas, and obtained my undergraduate degree at Austin College. I completed medical school at Ross University School of Medicine and went on to complete my internal medicine residency at University of Oklahoma in Tulsa. I am board certified in internal medicine and a member of American College of Physicians. I joined USMD in 2017, after spending two years working as a hospitalist in Tulsa. I am thrilled to be back in the Dallas area and caring for patients in the wonderful and growing Plano community.
In my free time, I am an avid runner, spending my time on races ranging from 5ks to half marathons and triathlons. I love traveling within the U.S. and internationally. I have a strong musical background, which includes vocal ensemble and playing the guitar.
