Biography

Bernard Hildebrand, MD, strives to provide exceptional attention and care for his patients, and he considers it a privilege to provide long-term care for those with systemic inflammatory, autoimmune, and rheumatic disease.

Dr. Hildebrand was born and raised in Central Texas. He pursued a career in medicine in order to help people during their most vulnerable moments. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and completed internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship training at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. Multisystemic disorders, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and preventive care are his top clinical interests. 

Educating patients about their conditions and relieving pain are the most rewarding aspects of Dr. Hildebrand’s vocation as a physician. He is grateful to practice as a rheumatologist and internist and to have the opportunity to identify safe and effective treatments for his patients. Dr. Hildebrand currently lives in San Antonio, Texas and is married with three children. His favorite activities include running, watching baseball, international medical missions, and spending time with family.
