Biography

I knew I was always destined to help others, pursuing a career in medicine felt like a natural next step. I was born and raised in San Juan Puerto Rico. After earning a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Puerto Rico, I stayed to pursue my degree in medicine.
I earned my medical degree at University of Puerto Rico Medical Science Campus and completed my family medicine residency at University of Puerto Rico and Affiliated Hospitals. I chose to specialize in family medicine because I really value the relationships I build with patients, and family medicine allows me to maintain those relationships through a patient's entire health journey.
My philosophy to patient care is rooted in the golden rule ' treat patients the way I would like to be treated. I like to take care of every patient the same way, to see them as a human being and put aside age, race, beliefs, and education. Everyone deserves to be healthy and as a doctor, it's my duty to help my patients do just that.
Currently, I live in the Arlington/Grand Prairie area with my wife and our three children. In my free time I like to exercise, play softball, volunteer at my church and spend time with my family. I'm excited to be a part of USMD and look forward to serving the community.
