Biography

Rufino G. Talatala, M.D. is dedicated to providing the highest level of evidence-based medical care to his patients while respecting their individuality and autonomy. Dr. Talatala’s passion is being a strong advocate for his patients.

Dr. Talatala was born and raised in the Philippines. He received his medical degree from the University of the East Memorial Medical Center. He completed his internal medicine residency at Prince George’s Hospital in Maryland and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He believes timely and compassionate care is integral in building doctor-patient relationships. Educating and involving his patients in medical decisions are cornerstones of his principles of care.

Dr. Talatala is involved in his community serving as a board member for the Metrocrest Hospital Authority and as a lector for his church. In his personal time, he loves to exercise at the gym, run, hike, travel, play tennis and pickle ball. Spending as much time as he can with his wife and three children is what makes Dr. Talatala the happiest.
