Biography

I was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but grew up in Dallas. My love of science and people fostered my desire to put the two together and pursue medicine. To me, every patient is an individual with individual needs. They are a complete person, not a list of illnesses. The opportunity to help individuals live healthier lives is the reason I became a physician.
After earning a B.S. in Biology from Centenary College of Louisiana, I earned my Doctorate of Osteopathy at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee, Georgia. I decided to focus on internal medicine because I like the breadth and variety of medical knowledge and health issues it encompasses. My internship and residency in internal medicine at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth affirmed that I want to be a home base for my patients' total care.
I'm not only honored by the trust patients place in me, but by the opportunity I have to positively change the course of their disease through compassionate and attentive care. I always aim to provide each person with the best quality care'which means their involvement is integral. Working together as a team, we can improve their overall health.
When I'm not caring for patients at USMD's North Richland Hills Clinic, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sons, family and friends'along with reading, singing, and attending and participating in local theater.
