Chong Yun, MD

Ever since I can remember, I have always been fascinated by both the art and science of medicine. Having this dual affinity, I majored in music while pursuing a pre-med track at The University of Chicago. I attended medical school at Wright State University in Ohio and completed family medicine residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas.
During my medical training, every field piqued my interest, but family medicine was truly like a breath of fresh air amidst the construct of myopic medicine. Being a huge believer in the deep connection between the body and the mind, I fell in love with family medicine and how it allows me to truly treat the whole patient. What further drew me to family medicine is that it enables me to develop a long term relationship with each patient and build a deep trust that is critical to providing excellent care. I also love that I can literally treat the whole family, grandparents to grandchildren.
Music provided me with an appreciation for using my hands, and I bring that passion to patient care as well. I offer patients outpatient procedures such as joint injections, pap smears, IUD placements, skin tag or wart removals, skin biopsies and much more.
In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano, singing, cooking, traveling, and spending time with my family. My husband Alex and I live in Dallas.
