Laura Jones, DO

I am passionate about serving others and have always wanted to help people lead healthy, happy lives. Becoming a physician was just a natural fit for me.
I loved every clinical rotation during medical school at UNT Health Science Center Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, but I found my fit in family medicine. I discovered I enjoy caring for patients of all backgrounds and ages. Family medicine allows me to do that while also managing a variety of illnesses. My love for family medicine was reinforced during my residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
As a physician trained in osteopathic medicine, I approach each patient as a whole person. I consider the health of each individual's body, mind and spirit when creating a customized plan of care specifically for them. Exercise, stress management, and a healthy diet are all cornerstones of our overall health, so I like to address each of these areas with my patients.
I have additional training in wound care and a particular interest in women's health and adolescent care. I feel fortunate to be able to put my compassion and skills to work every day at USMD Health System and as a volunteer with Refugee Services of Texas and the Bob Mann Medical Clinic at Mission Arlington.
I actually grew up in Arlington, but live in North Richland Hills now with my husband and our boys. Together, we enjoy being outdoors and reading. I'm happy to be part of this community and honored to be able to care for so many of the people who make it strong.
