Dr Joseph is very courteous and professional and is the best doctor I have ever encountered over these many years. He is very direct and transparent. He lays out what I can do to obtain my goal of having a good quality of life(my goal is 90)and avoid medical alternatives that would compromise that quality of life along the way to 90. One issue was my weight and my pre diabetic sugar level. He asked if I could reasonably watch my carbs and sugar, exercise (preferably walking) and having lab work every 90 days along with an in office and or virtual review of the lab work(weight taken at time of lab). Results after 6 months,I have gone from 228-199 and lowered GL into safe range.

I gave all my reasons in the beginning of this survey. I was not told I had kidney failure … I’ve gone months without knowing… he did not suggest I go to a kidney specialist, he did not say to change my diet or stop taking large doses of ibuprofen, he just said to drink more water. I had to come home and research all on my own to know what to do for kidney failure, and I could’ve been doing that for the past several months if somebody had told me, I was in kidney failure from the other bloodwork that I had done … so no, I’m not very happy

Dr. Joseph is THE BEST!!! He is professional, caring, he listens to your concerns, he understands the interaction of medications, and he is always there in critical situations! When my blood tests showed a serious sodium deficiency after surgery, he told me exactly what to do and what to tell the nearest hospital. When I was at the hospital and checked in after reading them Dr. Joseph's note, they told me I had a very good PCP! I told them I agree 100%! Dr. Joseph is the reason I am at USMD/WellMed.

Dr Joseph is an excellent and intelligent. Dr Joseph is kind compassionate and very caring. The main problem is the Wellmed portal and not enough employees to answer the phone calls. I've been with USMD clinic for 10 years and Dr Joseph has always responded our portal request within 24 hours and now Wellmed needs patients to wait 3 days for the response.

I have been a patient of this office for many years. I started with my first doctor, Scott A. Pavey back in the [omitted]. He gave me a notice that hew going to retire effective [omitted] I believe was the date. So after a long relationship, he said that their where two new doctors in the office with one being a man, and the other a woman. Personally, I didn't have any feelings about either a male or female doctor. I asked Dr, Pavey which doctor would he choose if he were in my place? He suggested Dr. Juby Joseph for me. I had my first visit with Dr, Joseph for an annual exam. He was thorough with my medications, and keeping up with where I need to be on vaccines, colonoscopy, and a cat scan for my calcium scoring. Overall I am very pleased with Dr. Juby Joseph, and am happy that Dr. Pavey was able to provide me with my new(now five years new)doctor. Thank you Dr. Joseph and his P.A. Cameryn(I just saw her for the first time [omitted] after testing positive for Covid 19. She did a wonderful job of listening to my concerns and prescribing the appropriate medication for this illness. Then I went back a week later for her to listen to my heart and lungs, and all was fine). My overall rating of USMD is excellent. Doctors are wonderful, and the patient portal is easy to use.

He's a good and caring doctor. Overall, I the visit is rushed under ten minutes, we don't go over all my medications that I'm on, only a few things then he's done. On my last visit I went in for neck pain and he didn't even check it out. Waste of time and money. Care now could've taken better of me which is sad. He was clearly upset that I was his patient, upset that I was scheduled to see him with what felt like an attitude of “why are you here for just allergies”. I have had a constant headache daily since [omitted] and have been referred to everyone under the sun by my previous PCP but decided to come back to Dr Joseph since my family still uses him and likes him. He really seemed like I was wasting his time, and kept literally asking me how I was so important that I got in to see him when they aren’t accepting new patients. (He was the one who approved it when I requested to reestablish care with him back in April.) It wasn’t a great experience and he didn’t schedule any follow ups with me. Just sent me off for a CT scan and then said follow up in a year.. I still went to see an allergist AGAINST his recommendation, even though my sinus CT scan came back normal and I’m glad I did because I found out that my headaches are stemming from realllllyyyy bad allergies as I am apparently now allergic to everything environmental, but I was concerned the headaches were neurological, caused by side effects of medications, etc. but I didn’t feel like he was trying to hear me out. I got there 15 min before my appt, and they didn’t call me back until 15 min AFTER my appt. Then after the initial vitals check, his intern came in there and spent a lot of time asking me questions and listening to me (he was GREAT), but Dr Joseph spent maybe 5 minutes with me then left me in the room for 15 more minutes just waiting for my ‘discharge’ paperwork. I was there for an hour and a half for basically nothing and the lady who checked me out/scheduled my 1 year follow up was rude/stuck up. Cameryn G the PA/NP was so great and nice. She’s the one who scheduled me with Dr Joseph for [omitted] (1 month after) because she thought he would want to check up on how I was doing and get a plan going based on my recent medical history/issues I’ve been having. Boy was she wrong and they took it out on me like I scheduled the appointment on purpose.

Because they were questions I asked and he didn't really answer them, just gave me general answers that weren't specific to what I asked. Also when I told his nurse about a medication not working, I was told to give it another day even though medications usually work within the first 24 hours. Because of that, I gave my loved ones COVID.

He does not rush through appointment, he encourages my questions and answers them in terms I understand. He is caring and considerate. He responds in timely manner to questions I submit through the portal.

He did not seen to know anything about my condition Pulmonary Hypertension. He told me to drink lots of water. With this Ph I am limited on liquid intake. He let me right away he is hard to see. He did not take much time. Wanted to why I was there to see him. He did not read my chart every well. Lot of the questions he ask was in my chart. I have been a patient at USMD longer than he was been there, there other doctors was better. Now I am looking for a New PCP. He does let know about test resutls that he has quested. USMD dont need a Patient Portal becasue no one mays any attention to it.

I love Dr Joseph… he is the best dr I have ever had in my life. He treats me like I’m special and it could be a year til my next wellness visit, and he always remembers me- it feels like I just saw him the previous week. He alway sends prescriptions in right away, and always makes sure that all questions I have on the portal are answered usually that same day.
