Nilda Guerra-Cavazos, MD

Nilda Guerra-Cavazos, MD, developed a passion for medicine after witnessing her grandfather's cancer journey. This experience inspired her to pursue a career in health care to provide compassionate and culturally sensitive services to a diverse group of patients.

Dr. Guerra-Cavazos recognizes the impact of her patients' backgrounds and cultural beliefs. During appointments, she takes the time to get to know each patient as an individual and assists them in overcoming any obstacles that may affect their care. Throughout the process, she aims to be a trustworthy provider by building long-term relationships with both patients and their families.

Dr. Guerra-Cavazos graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed her residency in family medicine through the same institution. Dr. Guerra-Cavazos is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Born and raised in Mission, Texas, she resides in San Antonio. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, traveling, watching movies and cheering on her daughter in volleyball.
