Lydia Avila, MD

Lydia Avila, MD, strives to give every patient the best possible care. She graduated from medical school at Universidad de Montemorelos and later completed her residency at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL.

She was driven to enter a career in medicine after meeting many medical students in her childhood. As a teenager, she decided she wanted to go to school to become a physician. She is passionate about taking care of people of all ages and different medical problems. She is skilled in treating a variety of conditions, including asthma, arthritis, COPD, and other chronic conditions.

Dr. Avila’s favorite part of her job is the satisfaction of seeing her patients improve their health. She was born in Chicago but grew up in Mexico. Today, she resides in San Antonio, Texas. In her spare time, she enjoys going out with her family and friends. She is married and has two children.
