Syed Basheer, MD

Syed Basheer, MD, is a physician. He completed medical school at Mysore Medical College in India and residency at Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center. He is board-certified by ABFM. His care philosophy is to use a collaborative, team-based approach.

Dr. Basheer originally pursued a career in medicine to help patients and make a difference in their lives. He chose to specialize in family medicine because he appreciated the opportunity to provide patients with high-quality continuity of care and to build long-term relationships with them and their families. His favorite parts of his work are his relationships with patients and moments when patients express their gratitude.

Dr. Basheer was born and raised in India. He is married with two children. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports and going out for dinner with family and friends. Clinically, he is particularly interested in helping patients manage asthma, COPD, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and thyroid disorders. He is also passionate about preventive medicine and geriatric care.
