Amanda works with my wife and I to craft forward plans for our health and care. She agreed with my concerns about old vaccinations and checked us for Measles immunity, I was immune, my wife was not, so she got a booster measles vaccination. Same is true for PSA, liver function, sugar, glycemic index etc. She knows my family history and is testing accordingly. She wants to control any issues when required.

I met her for the first time in July. I explained my history and my experience with Covid; she listened and asked relevant questions to collect any additional information she needed. I saw her again for my yearly physical at the end of September. She followed up on my issues and made recommendations to have the issues further evaluated, checking to see I did not have pneumonia and that my continuing cough is not case of long COVID. I was also able to communicate with her easily on the website.

Dr. Muir has consistently been a wonderful primary care doctor. Any low ratings for this office would stem from my last visit when the labs were not pre ordered. Dr. Muir & I both thought it beneficial to have the labs pre done so we could review results during our visit. I scheduled an appointment for my labs and waited more than 30 minutes in the lobby only to learn after I inquired that the tech didn't have what she needed to run my tests. I did provide a urine sample but when I returned the following week for my appointment with Dr. Muir, the sample had been misplaced. This is not indicative of how things have gone in the past so I am hopeful that this was a fluke experience.

It is hard to find someone like Dr. Muir these days. I don’t see Dr. Muir often (1-2 times annually), but she is incredible in so many ways. She prepares for my appointments and comes into the room already knowing why I am there. She asks me questions throughout our appointment to check-in with me on things we talked about a year ago! Throughout our visit, she always articulates medical information in a well-understood manner. Her examples are always great and she thinks outside the box (often asking about medical history in the family or other diagnoses to get to the root cause). Dr. Muir takes the time to answer all of my questions and I feel as though I have her full attention in the entire appointment. I never feel rushed and I absolutely enjoy my time with her (even when I’m there sick as a dog). Dr. Muir also responses so quickly in the online portal and when she sends lab results, she always includes her opinion/thoughts. I trust Dr. Muir and absolutely appreciate her.
