Biography

I love science and working with people. I am fortunate that medicine allows me to combine both of those things into a career in which my true passion lies. I come from a family of teachers'I am the only physician in my family, but I like to think of myself as a teacher at heart. I believe that patient education should be a part of every appointment.
I received my undergraduate degree in biology from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois. After my undergraduate, I moved to Michigan and obtained my medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. I remained in Michigan after medical school and completed my residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Michigan State University, where I served as Chief Resident. Upon completing medical training, I moved to Texas and worked as a physician at Family Wise Healthcare in McKinney. I also spent nearly two years as assistant professor of internal medicine and pediatrics at Michigan State University.
My husband and I live in Carrollton with our daughter. In my free time, I enjoy being with family and friends, music and spending time outdoors.
