Maria V. Fuentes, NP, specializes in family medicine. She takes a holistic approach to care, making time to listen to patients and learn about their social and family lives, as well as their health concerns.

Mrs. Fuentes was inspired to pursue a career in health care by her mother, a migrant camp health aid. She saw how her mother helped people and wanted to make that kind of difference in people’s lives. Mrs. Fuentes chose family medicine so she could care for people of all ages. She has a particular passion for working with older adults.

Mrs. Fuentes was born in McAllen, Texas, and raised in Monte Alto. She studied nursing at the University of Texas Pan-American. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. In her free time, she enjoys exercise and being a Beauty Guide for LimeLife by Alcone. Mrs. Fuentes is married with two children.
