Because at some point would like to meet/be seen by the person who is actually my PCP rather than an NP or PA-C. Maria knows her stuff and is accommodating. When my PCP was Dr. Volpe, I always saw her.

She is very polite, and answers any questions I may have. She reviews medications. She also goes over lab results with me. I have been referred to two different specialist's (hematologist) (gastroenterologist) and both times she was able to get me an appointment before I even left the office. I told her I needed those doctors to be close to home due to transportation issues and she was able to refer me to doctors within a couple miles from my home.
