Dr. Eguae has always been good to me. I feel like she cares and she even helped catch a Heart issue I had and didn’t know it. Long story short during my 2025 physical she noticed my heart rate was in the 40s or 30s. To me it was normal. She ordered and ECG and referred me to a cardiologist. I eventually had a Cardiovascular Ablation performed to fix an arrhythmia that had weakened my heart to 40% efficiency. A year later I’m doing great still and working to keep my heart healthy thanks to Dr. Eguae.

I have had Dr. Eguae as my PCP for many years. It was “fate” when I had my 1st appt with her (my doctor had an unexpected situation & unavailable when I arrived for my scheduled appointment. Dr. Eguae gave me more information about my condition than any previous doctor. She was obviously very intelligent & up-to-date knowledgeable. Being overweight my entire life, I never felt comfortable with any doctor, but some had been condescending. As a woman who was born in 1960, I was extremely sad they had all been female doctors. Dr. Eguae was the OPPOSITE. When I had to switch to Medicare in April, I specifically chose a Medicare Advantage Plan who confirmed Dr. Eguae would be my PCP (Cigna Advantage). I do wish medical care in the USA had not changed into one which makes it impossible for ANY PCP to have a reasonable amount of time to spend with their patients - but Dr. Eguae has handled that slow but consistent transition extremely well. She is so clearly knowledgeable & efficient, she is able to be thorough in a short amount of time. As her patient, I am always confident that I am getting great care.

I have been going to Dr. Egaue for about 3 years, and I really wanted her to be my doctor for the rest of my life. But i plan on changing to another PCP because Dr. Egaue doesn't seem to care or interested. She very professional but not friendly. Last summer 2022 when I had an xray done because she said it was probably a stress fracture, she didn't call me back that day like she said she would with the results. I had to call USMD several times over a 24+hour period to see if I had a fracture. Another time in 2021 after a UTI, i saw her because i continued to have pain in the genital area. She never examined me nor did her PA, they just assumed they knew what the problem was a referred me to a GYN. In actuality my problem was a pelvic floor dysfunction. The last time I saw Dr. Egaue, she was more interested in typing on her laptop than stopping looking me, talking with me like a caring, compassionate doctor would. When I compare Dr. Egaue to my [omitted] mother's doctor who is interested, not in a rush, and caring about my Mom and her health, Dr. Egaue fails the comparison miserably. Very disappointed.

I would give Eseosa Eguae a higher rating if I could. This doctor knows how to listen to her patients, ask the right questions to come to her diagnosis, and clearly explain her plan of action and why. She also helps me to know of this isn’t working, we will do what it takes to find the right path. She’s attentive, compassionate and logical.
